CHRISTCHURCH - QUEENSTOWN
Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains before arriving at Lake Tekapo. Continue south to the small town of Twizel before traveling through the historic Central Otago region to Lake Wakatipu and the Alpine Resort of Queenstown. -
day 3
Take a trip this morning through Lumsden and Te Anau to the Fiordland National Park. Enter Eglinton Valley and travel through the manmade Homer Tunnel before arriving in Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on the fiord before returning to Queenstown.
FIORDLAND NATIONAL PARK
Established in 1952, the park is now over 1.2 million hectares in size, and encompasses of mountains, lakes, fiords and rainforest environments. Fiordland National Park is a cherished corner of the world where mountains and valleys compete with each other for room, where scale is almost beyond comprehension, rainfall is measured in meters and scenery encompasses the broadest width of emotionsMILFORD SOUND
Milford Sound is by far the best known of all fiords, and is the only one that can be accessed by road. It is approximately 16km from the head of the fiord to the open sea. The Milford Road is one of the most incredible and frequently overlooked features of Milford Sound. -

QUEENSTOWN - MT COOK - CHRISTCHURCH
Head to Mt. Cook and Church of Good Shepherd this morning, followed by the Canterbury Plains to arrive in Christchurch.MT.COOK
Travel through the Central Otago region to Mt Cook, also known in Maori Aoraki, the cloud piercer. Mount Cook (70,696 hectares) is New Zealand\'s great alpine park and has the highest mountains and the largest glaciers.CHURCH OF GOOD SHEPHERD
The Church of the Good Shepherd is situated on the shores of Lake Tekapo. It was the first church built in the Mackenzie Basin. The church at Lake Tekapo was designed by Christchurch architect R.S.D. Harman and is arguably one of the most photographed places in New Zealand. It features an altar window that frames stunning views of the lake and mountains. -
